Health Canada: Natural Health Products Site License

On Jan 1, 2006 the manufacturing of natural health products in Canada came under the regulation the Natural Health Product Regulations of Health Canada. Emerald Seed Products has completed the quality assurance audit under these regulations and is certified as GMP compliant to manufacture natural health products under Health Canada Site License Number 300395.

GMP Certificate of Compliance

GMP means Good Manufacturing Practices for the natural health industry. GMP’s are operating and management systems to ensure an effective approach to product quality and risk. GMP’s set appropriate standards and practices for all aspects of manufacturing, storage, handling and distribution. Emerald Seed Products is certified under Natural Health Products GMP Certificate of Compliance Number 0002213, issued by Health Canada.

FDA Registered

Emerald Seed Products’ manufacturing facility is registered under the BTA regulations of the USA Food and Drug Administration, Registration #11253729024.

Third Party Quality Audits

The Standard Operating Procedures and Quality Systems of Emerald Seed Products are independently reviewed by Spectrum Quality Consultants, Inc. The QAR review has found that Emerald quality systems meet current industry standards for good manufacturing practices for the natural health industry. Emerald quality systems are managed by industry qualified internal staff.

Organic Certification

Emerald Seed Products is certified to process organic products under the Organic Crop Improvement Association (OCIA), Associate #11597. Our organic certifications include OCIA International (IFOAM Accredited), US National Organic Program (NOP), and Japanese Agricultural Standard of Organic Agricultural Products (JAS).

Kosher Status

Products from Emerald are approved for Kosher use under Vaad Ha’ir of Winnipeg, Inc. Products are certified as WK Pareve, No. 114.
